Design study

Independent, unofficial concept site for Dokpa Garment. Every fact on this sheet is supplied or externally listed and is awaiting owner confirmation. Nothing here has been published or sent.

DOKPA Expedition dossier, study 04
03 Evidence sheet

Where every line came from

Four sources were consulted for this study. Only one of them is independent of the material handed over with the photographs, and it agrees on three facts and disagrees on a fourth. That is the entire evidentiary position, stated plainly rather than smoothed over.

A Register

Source register

Every source consulted, and what came out of it. No document from Dokpa Garment itself was obtained, so nothing on this study is owner authenticated.
RefSourceOutcomeGrade it supports
S1 Supplied resource folder: photographs plus a short profile text Primary material. The photographs are the strongest first party like evidence available, and every Observed line on the dossier sheet traces to one of them. Supplied Observed
S2 Independent Yandex Maps business listing for Dokpa Garment Agrees on the organization name, the municipality, district and province, and the telephone number. Disagrees on the ward. Also carries an opening time that nothing else supports, which this study does not reproduce. Corroborated Contradicted
S3 A company web address referenced in the supplied material Could not be fetched. Nothing at all is inferred from it, and it is not linked from this study. Unresolved
S4 Searches across social platforms, the email address and the telephone number No reliable first party company history was found. Everything that did surface was about other subjects entirely and was discarded rather than adapted. Unresolved

The listing at S2 is a public business directory entry. It is treated as one independent source, not as confirmation from the company. Two sources agreeing is corroboration; only the owner can confirm.

B The conflict

Ward 9 or ward 8

Contradicted, left open

The supplied address reads Purano Samyukta Buspark, Bhangal, Budanilkantha-9, Kathmandu, Nepal. The independent listing at S2 places the same business in ward 8 of the same municipality.

Both readings are printed on this study. Neither is corrected, chosen or quietly dropped. A ward number is the part of a Kathmandu address that a visitor actually navigates by, so publishing the wrong one with confidence is worse than publishing the disagreement.

The municipality itself is not in doubt. Budhanilakantha municipality, Kathmandu district, Bagmati province is corroborated by both sources, and the romanised spelling simply varies between them, which is a transliteration difference rather than a factual conflict.

Close view of a jacket collar and the blue Dokpa label stitched inside it
Plate 07, collar labelThe strongest evidence in the whole set is not a document. It is this label, appearing on several different garments in the same form.
A dark grey insulated jacket held open on a workroom table
Plate 08, working roomA garment held open on a table. This frame evidences a plain working room and nothing else. It says nothing about how large the operation is, how many people work there, or what it produces in a year.
C Withheld

What this study will not print, and why

Each row below is a field a commercial site would normally fill. Every one is left empty on purpose. An empty field is recoverable with one phone call; a confident wrong field is not.

Withheld fields and the reason each one is withheld.
FieldStatusReason
Opening hoursUnresolvedOne external listing carries a morning opening time. Nothing corroborates it, and a wrong time sends a real person to a closed door. No hours appear on any page of this study.
Materials, insulation, ratingsUnresolvedNot visible in any photograph and not supplied. Naming one would be inventing a specification.
Size rangeUnresolvedA single printed M tag is the only size marking in the entire set of photographs.
Prices and commercial termsUnresolvedNothing was supplied. This study carries no pricing, no minimum order and no lead time of any kind.
Capacity, staffing, machineryUnresolvedPhotographs of a room do not evidence what happens in it at scale, and no such claim is made here.
Work done for other companiesUnresolvedNot established. This study makes no statement about contract work in either direction.
Founding date, history, awardsUnresolvedNothing was found anywhere. Absent by design rather than by oversight.
Certification and test evidenceUnresolvedNone was supplied, so none is claimed.
D Photographs

How the photograph set was handled

Twelve photographs are published on this study. They were supplied, they were not taken by this study, and the original files were not modified. Several garments appear in more than one frame, and one frame shows two garments at once, so the number of photographs is not a count of products.

Photographs that showed a mark belonging to another company on the garment, its label or its sleeve are not published here at all, and no such mark is named anywhere on this study. Presenting them as Dokpa branding would be misleading, and explaining why they exist would itself be an unconfirmed claim about the company's work. A screenshot in the supplied set is reference material and was never publishable.

Two corrections already made. An earlier draft of this dossier credited the off white hooded jacket with a hook and loop cuff tab and with two lower zip pockets. Re-inspection of both sleeve ends and the lower body at high zoom showed plain rounded cuffs with no tab, and plain welt openings with no zip teeth and no pull. That line was corrected.

The same draft then recorded the cuff tab against the periwinkle jacket alone. Checking every other garment showed the same dark loop patch on both cuffs of the blue grey jacket photographed on the table, so the entry now names both garments and both photographs. A feature seen on two garments had been written as if it were unique to one, which is a smaller error than the first but the same kind.
